Project Description
Kailyn Spencer is a Violinist, Teacher, and Arts Administrator based in Duluth, MN. She has
performed in venues big and small throughout the Midwest for the last decade with a variety of live bands, including the currently active alt-country group Breanne Marie and the Front Porch Sinners. Kailyn also performs orchestral music with the UWS Chamber Strings as an alumni community member and with the NSPO.
When not in rehearsal or performing, Kailyn loves teaching others how to play the violin. Her growing private lesson studio was established in 2016 and attracts students of all ages and abilities from the Twin Ports and surrounding area. Her students perform in recitals twice a year and have the opportunity to learn both classical and alternative styles.
Kailyn is also the Project Coordinator for Lyric Opera of the North (LOON), a professional opera company and Nonprofit Arts Organization based in Duluth. Throughout the year she works behind the scenes, assisting in all the administrative details demanded by a robust season that includes two fully staged operas, two large fundraising events, and a touring production that performs in elementary school gyms.
