Vancouver Island Symphony Volunteers
The Vancouver Island Symphony depends upon the
countless efforts of many people and community organizations to assist us
with administration tasks and fundraising and special events. If you are
interested in volunteering with us, we would invite you to take a moment and
complete the Volunteer Form below. Someone from our office will call you and
give you additional details related to the events that you are interested in

Symphony of Roses Day - November 2008 |

Assist with preparing roses - to be done at Turley's Florist or at your home depending upon the tasks needed. |

Delivery of roses - own vehicle and driving required |

Symphony in the Harbour - Saturday August 9, 2008- two shifts during the day. |

Help the crew set up the site 8:30 - 10:30 a.m. |

Help with traffic control 8:30 - noon and noon - 4 pm. at Maffeo Sutton Park |

Volunteer at the Go Green Symphony Zoo - Children’s activities 2-6 p.m. |
|
Distribute programmes to the crowd 4:30 - 6 p.m. |
|
Volunteer at the VIS Info Booth 3 - 7 p.m. |
|
After the event - assist with clean up and take down of chairs, curtains, garbage clean up. |

Daytime Set Up |

Volunteers needed at the event to assist with tickets, programs, raffles, ballot counting, bussing, greeting and ushering people and parking. |

Prepare refreshments (provided by VIS) for musicians at rehearsals at the Port Theatre. |

Once a month from August - April on concert weekends. 2-hour shifts and you can sit in on rehearsals. |

People to be at the info table from 6:30- 7:35 p.m. and at Intermission on concert night to sell CDs and other items for the VIS. |

People needed to walk about inside the theatre before the performances to let people know about items for sale. |
