Currently in its 14th Season, the
Vancouver Island Symphony,
under
the artistic direction of Pierre Simard, is
one of Canada’s youngest
professional
symphony orchestras. Based in Nanaimo,
British Columbia
on beautiful Vancouver Island.
The VI Symphony has patrons coming
from
Duncan, Chemainus, Ladysmith, Gabriola Island,
Nanaimo,
Parksville, Qualicum Beach and
north to Campbell River.

a season of seven
concerts during the 2008-2009 Season at The Port Theatre in downtown

Tidemark Theatre
The Vancouver Island Symphony will present a series of two concerts
at The Tidemark Theatre in Campbell River on Thursday December 18,
2008 Evergreen Christmas and on Friday February 20, 2008 –

Education Concerts
The Vancouver Island Symphony will present a Series of two Education
Shows for students in 2008-09 Season. Seats can be reserved by
schools starting in May 2008. Two Shows: Vancouver Island LEGENDS on
Monday November 3, 2008 The Port Theatre and in February 2009, the
VI Symphony will be present Haydn’s 200th Anniversary Celebration
for students at both The Port Theatre in Nanaimo and Tidemark
Theatre in Campbell River.
